Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before booking any training course with us.
1. About Us
FASTcompliance ("we", "us", "our", "FAST Compliance") is a QNUK Accredited training provider. References to "you" or "the client" mean the organisation or individual making a booking with us.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all training courses and services we provide. They should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. Bookings and Confirmation
A booking is made when you submit a quote request or booking enquiry and we issue a written booking confirmation. No contract exists until we have confirmed your booking in writing (including by email).
By confirming a booking, you confirm that:
- You have authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of your organisation.
- The information you have provided about your premises, delegate numbers, and course requirements is accurate.
- You accept these Terms and Conditions in full.
We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion. Where we decline a booking, any payment received will be refunded in full.
3. Pricing and Payment
3.1 Course fees
All prices quoted are per training session as specified on our website or in your written quotation, and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be charged at the prevailing rate where applicable.
Quoted prices cover delivery to your premises within mainland England, Scotland, and Wales. Travel surcharges may apply for remote locations, Northern Ireland, islands, and locations requiring an overnight stay; these will be communicated in advance and agreed before confirmation.
3.2 Payment terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due at the point of booking on our website.
We accept payment by credit or debit card. Our bank details will appear on all invoices.
If payment terms have been agreed in writing and payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to withhold certificates until the outstanding balance is settled, and to charge statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling by the Client
We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
| Notice given before course date | Cancellation charge |
|---|---|
| More than 28 days | No charge. Full refund if payment has been made. |
| 15–28 days | 50% of the course fee |
| 8–14 days | 75% of the course fee |
| 7 days or fewer | 100% of the course fee |
Cancellations must be notified to us in writing (email is acceptable) and are effective from the date we acknowledge receipt. Notice periods are calculated in clear calendar days.
4.1 Rescheduling
Where you wish to reschedule rather than cancel, we will endeavour to accommodate a new date at no additional charge, subject to our availability, provided that rescheduling is requested more than 14 days before the original course date. Rescheduling requests made within 14 days of the course date will be treated as a cancellation and a new booking.
4.2 Delegate substitutions
You may substitute individual delegates at any time before the course commences at no charge, provided you notify us in advance so that updated delegate information can be submitted to QNUK for certification purposes.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling by FAST Compliance
In exceptional circumstances — including instructor illness, adverse weather, or events beyond our reasonable control — we may need to postpone or cancel a course. In such cases we will notify you as soon as practicable and offer you the earliest available alternative date. If no alternative date is acceptable, we will provide a full refund of any sums paid.
We will not be liable for any indirect losses arising from a cancellation or postponement on our part, including loss of income, accommodation costs, or travel expenses incurred by delegates.
6. Delegate Requirements and Responsibilities
6.1 Fitness to train
First aid and safety courses may involve practical physical activities including floor-based CPR practice, lifting, and other physical tasks. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that delegates are fit to participate. Delegates with a health condition or disability that may affect their participation should notify us in advance so that reasonable adjustments can be considered.
Our instructors may, at their sole discretion, exclude a delegate from practical elements of a course if they form the view that participation poses a risk to that delegate or others. We accept no liability for any delegate who participates in a course contrary to medical advice.
6.2 Delegate conduct
Delegates are expected to behave respectfully toward our instructors and other delegates at all times. We reserve the right to remove a delegate from a course if their conduct is disruptive, abusive, or unsafe. No refund will be given in such circumstances.
6.3 Delegate information
You are responsible for providing us with accurate delegate information (including full names and dates of birth as required for QNUK certification) before the course commencement. Note: A valid drivers' licence; passport; or EU citizen card must be shown to verify delegate identity. Certificates cannot be issued where delegate information is incomplete or inaccurate. Re-issue of certificates due to errors in information provided by the client may be subject to an administration fee.
7. Training Venue
Where training is delivered at your premises, you are responsible for:
- Providing a suitable training space that is adequately lit, ventilated, and free from hazards. A clear floor area suitable for practical exercises is required for first aid courses of around 24m2.
- Ensuring parking or access arrangements for our instructor.
- Ensuring the venue complies with applicable health and safety requirements.
- Informing us of any access restrictions, security procedures, or site-specific health and safety rules in advance.
If the venue is found to be unsuitable on the day of the course, our instructor may be unable to deliver training. In such exceptional circumstances the course will be treated as a cancellation by the client and the appropriate cancellation charge will apply.
8. Certification
Certificates are issued by QNUK upon successful completion of a course. Successful completion requires attendance for the full duration of the course and, where applicable, passing the relevant practical and written assessments.
We will not issue certificates to delegates who arrive 30 minutes late, leave early, or fail to meet the required competency standard. Delegates who are unsuccessful at assessment will not receive a certificate; their result will be communicated to the booking contact. Re-assessment may be possible, subject to agreement, and may be charged separately.
Digital or hardcopy certificates will be issued to the booking contact on course completion in standard circumstances, subject to QNUK processing times. We cannot guarantee turnaround times that are dependent on third-party systems.
9. Intellectual Property
All course materials, handouts, slides, and resources provided during training remain the intellectual property of FASTcompliance or our accreditation partners. They are provided for the personal use of delegates only and may not be reproduced, copied, resold, or distributed without our prior written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any matter where it would be unlawful to exclude or limit liability.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any booking or course shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for that booking.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including loss of profit, loss of contract, or reputational damage, arising in connection with any training we provide or fail to provide.
The training we provide is intended to equip delegates with skills and knowledge. We cannot guarantee that a delegate will pass an assessment, retain skills after training, or perform correctly in a real emergency. Our liability is limited to delivering the training to a reasonable standard.
11. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our training or service, please contact us in the first instance so that we can seek to resolve the matter:
- Email: info@fastcompliance.uk
- Telephone: 02070 999 424
We will acknowledge all formal complaints within 2 working days and aim to resolve them within 14 working days. Where a complaint relates to the quality of accredited training, QNUK's complaints process may also be available to you.
12. Force Majeure
We shall not be in breach of these Terms or liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, severe weather, pandemic, civil unrest, industrial action, or failure of third-party infrastructure. In such cases we will notify you as soon as possible and endeavour to perform our obligations as soon as it is practicable to do so.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking confirmation will apply to that booking. The current version will always be published on this page.
